Don D Voice - Freak Show

Wash Heights!
I heard about Don D Voice from the Heights for a lil while now but, never really listened to any of his music before.  He's pretty good.  This track has a chill flow and the beat is on point too.  LOl, I deadass thought he was a reggaeton artist from the hood before.  I stand corrected.  Shoutouts to Don D Voice for this one and checkout his new video titled "Freak Show"

MTV's The Heights Trailer

To keep it 100%, MTV advertised this show as a documentary of Washington Heights but, I don't know of anyone who looks or acts like this in Wash Heights.  I live here, I should know.  There are many successful people that live in this area, not just Dominicans.  The fact that this trailer looks completely scripted kind of bums me out.  I read some comments on the MTV site and, like myself, others picked up on the fact that the cast looks like a bunch of actors even though MTV states they are not. Their interactions weren't very organic.  And no disrespect to the female cast members, but damn, this is Washington Heights, you're telling me they couldn't cast some murda mamis in this piece   I'm just sayin...form your own opinion when the show premieres in January.

Alberto Ramos gets picked up by Hoffman Bikes Flow and Alienation flow

Mira Mira Life
Hard work does pay off!  Minority team rider Alberto Ramos recently got picked up by Hoffman Bikes Flow and Alienation Bikes.  Alberto has been punchin in his fresh clock shredding the streets spots, skateparks, participating in local BMX shows and competing in jams the last few months, which has definitely worked out to his advantage.  Enos Colombo (Base Brooklyn) put the word in for Hoffman as well as Alienation vouching for Alblasto on what an incredible rider he is, which is true (I seen'um!)  They both hooked the boy boy up with a care package recently to give his whip a face lift.  Alberto was the first team rider we picked up almost 2 years ago and he never disappoints.  His style is bonkers, switch footed everything, we always knew he would do his thing in the bmx game sooner more than later.  Congratulations Alberto for the dope come up.  East coast is getting live again.

New York Post's Controversial Front Page Cover

This article was taken from the huffingtonpost.com which talks about Ki-Suk Han's fatal fall...
The cover of Tuesday's New York Post — which shows a man moments before he was fatally struck by a subway train —is sparking outrage from readers.
Han, a 58 year old father from Queens, was pushed into the subway tracks by "a deranged man" on Monday afternoon. One witness said that he was caught between the platform and the train, and dragged. The front page of the Post showed Han trying to lift himself back onto the platform at the 49th Street station as a Q train approached.
On Tuesday, readers asked why the photographer didn't try to help Han instead. The picture was taken by R. Umar Abbasi, whom the Post described as a "freelance photographer." The paper and Abbasi said that he was running toward the train and "repeatedly firing off his flash to warn the operator."
Alexander Abad-Santos at the Atlantic Wire noted, "Getting a conductor's attention with a flash — and maybe even blinding him with it — doesn't seem like the way you'd necessarily help someone that's clinging to the subway platform."
Others on Twitter harshly criticized both Abbasi for taking the photo and the Post for running it. People called the paper "despicable" and the "trashiest of f-cking trash." "Real classy, NY Post. Real classy," one person wrote. Below, see some of the reactions on Twitter.
Capital New York reached out to four tabloid photographers for their takes, and they were not as quick to blame Abbasi. "Honestly, I can't fault this photographer," one photographer wrote, citing the other observers on the subway platform. "They're either all guilty of turning their back on [Han], or they're not. Can't lay blame on this guy alone."

This was wild!

A-Mafia - CEO Music

140TH STREET STAND UP!
Mafia the Boss is back at it.  My boy Bryan aka Jewn Buggz (IRUNFILMS) recently directed this new joint by A-MAFIA "CEO Music" which debuted on Worldstarhiphop.com today.  You may have heard of A-Mafia featured on numerous Dipset albums and mix tapes in the past.  One of my favorite mixtapes from A-Mafia, "Mafia's Town" has this track called "40th Boyz" featuring 40 Cal. from the Diplomats which is straight up Harlem fire.  He always spits rugged fire when he gets on the mic, delivering that raw gritty New York City style flow every time he drops a track!  Shoutouts to A-Mafia, Jewn Buggz and the Harlem on this one.  Don't forget to pick up his new mixtape "Straight Savage" which will be droppin December 11, 2012.
